I’ve written a book, trained for a half-marathon and started a weight management program (that actually works) – all in the last three years. My book took about nine months to write, getting up early every morning, and the final edits are coming together. Walking the half-marathon began as daily walks with my dog that eventually turned into a training program designed to increase my mileage over a ten-week period until I was prepared for the big day. My weight management program, a/k/a my e84 challenge, consists of doing a couple things each day, and now I’m well ahead of my goal to take off 20 pounds in 84 days.

What’s my secret? If anything, once I’ve made the commitment to start, my success lies in focusing on small actions. Yes, I have the big picture in mind but it’s the small steps that will get me there. I write a little bit each day, whether edits, work on a new book, blogging. Now I’m training to walk a marathon in October, just over four months away. I train a little bit every day, and it all adds up (I even have a scheduled rest day!).

With evolv™ products and a personalized ExerSciz™ plan, it’s easy to make the right choices every day. I eat real food and that’s especially important as I train. And now when I’m out walking, I’ve gotten rid of the equivalent of a ten-pound bag of sugar. My steps are lighter and faster – and I’ll bet my race day pace will be a personal best!

Whatever you decide to do, figure out what small steps need to be done every day. Then stick with it. Keep your eyes on the road ahead and pretty soon you’ll end up where you want to be. And don’t quit.

Join me on an e84 challenge – that’s eighty-four days – or twelve weeks – or three 28-day blocks. I started because I figured I could commit to anything for twelve weeks. Every so often I think about where I would be if I’d said no. So I grab the bag of sugar and carry it around for a minute or so.
